Krejci Has A Concussion

Great news. Another key member of the Bruins’ offense is now hobbled with a concussion. To be fair, the diagnosis does not initially seem to be as bad as Marc Savard’s nor did David Krejci look quite that disabled as he was helped off the ice last night during the third period of the B’s 2-1 Shoot Out loss to the visiting St. Louis Blues, but it’s still supremely concerning. We all know how the B’s suffer without Krejci in the line-up.

A mere week long absence, the minimum predicted by the team in it’s release, would be a hopeful, best-case scenario. If it is indeed a low grade concussion with a full, complication free recovery on the immediate horizon, then Krejci and the Bruins can consider themselves very, very lucky given the violent nature of the collision with the Blues’ T.J. Oshie and the way the valued center’s head bounced off of the dasher. It was painful to watch on the replay.

Consider Bruins Nation officially in holding it’s breath mode.
