Krejci Diagnosed With H1N1

Well, we’ve found out what the undisclosed injury/illness on the Bruins is and it’s scary news.

The team has confirmed that David Krejci has been officially diagnosed with a case of the H1N1 Flu.

As per the CDC recommendations, Krejci will be quarantined until he has been symptom free for 24 hours.

Beyond hockey concerns, and as the parent of a young child, these are serious concerns in this, a serious time. H1N1 is nothing to trifle with and, though Krejci is an otherwise healthy adult and not in a high risk group and should recover fully, no measure of precaution is too much. One already has to wonder how much further within the team it might spread given the nature of an athletic locker room.

Best wishes to Krejci for a quick recovery and fingers crossed for avoiding a total team outbreak.
